JUNIO-R

Yury Gorvits' International Project center

Smart vacations

"Junio-R" is an International scientific IT creative camp. Since 2000 - for a quarter of a century (!) - we have been offering vacations in a smart way for children, teenagers and their parents. During this time, we visited different countries, implemented hundreds of interesting projects, conducted more than 100 shifts, which were attended by several thousand children and dozens of experts in various fields. In the summer of 2025 we will spend two two-week shifts in Georgia, on the Black Sea coast.

12-days sessions in 2026

1 Session: 19.07 - 31.07

2 Session: 31.07 - 12.08

Our team

Our main activity is projects.

Scientific, creative, experimental, funny, unusual and exciting.

The authors of the projects are always children.

They choose and study a topic that interests them, come up with an idea and form of the project, and implement it in teams. The results can be theatrical performances, short films, exhibitions, computer and board games, robots, magazines, songs and much more.

Throughout the work, participants are assisted by our experts - experienced professionals from a variety of fields: programmers and AI experts, theater directors and actors, designers and illustrators, musicians, photographers and other talented people who know how to develop and support a child’s interest in one topic or another.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do children do in Junio-R? Whatever they want. In a good way: under the wing of experienced counselors and experts, our camp participants will create projects, applying their knowledge and implementing their ideas, but also learn new skills in the process of work - we believe that it is in work that they are learned best.

My child has been actively studying all year, can we have a break now? Of course! We deliberately pick places as close to the sea as possible, and we are going to be spending at least two hours a day on the beach. In addition, we always plan active and intellectual games, movie nights and much more.

My child is too small/big for camp. I am having doubts. Basically, our sessions are designed for ages 9-16, but in over 25 years we have had several 6-year-olds and a 20-year-old veteran who really wanted to be a child again. Write us a personal message (gorvitscamp@icloud.com), we will answer your questions and help you make a decision.

My child's Russian is poor. Will it not boring or difficult for him? Last year we conducted a small experiment, during which we discovered that we all speak 8 languages together. We are an international camp and are initially open to participants from all over the world - here (https://www.junio-r.org/istoriya) is our statistics, look. We mainly work in Russian, but we fluently speak and communicate on daily basis in English, German, French and Hebrew at least.

I am concerned about the comfort and safety of my child. And you should! But we also care and have it all covered: the children live in two or three people in the rooms with their own shower and toilet. The hotel area is guarded and closed at night.

How do we get to the camp? We organize escorted flights from Tel Aviv, Moscow and possibly a number of other cities - this information will be updated. The closest airports to our hotel are Batumi and Kutaisi. Tell us where your child will be traveling from and we will think about how to help you. Please also note that our price does not include airfare.

How do you eat there? Good and varied Buffet breakfast: toast, appetizers, eggs, vegetables Lunch in the hotel dining room: soup, main course, salad, and a drink. We decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant: everyone orders from the menu in an organized manner, within a reasonable limit. The menu includes Georgian dishes and international classics like pasta, pizza, and salads. We make sure that children eat a varied and healthy diet and take into account any dietary needs, including custom-made dishes.

What are your rules regarding gadgets? One of our main principles is: "We don't take gadgets away from children – we teach them how to use them!" The Camp is called CreITive – children use gadgets to write scripts, shoot and edit films, take photographs, and translate into all the languages of the world. At a minimum, a tablet can be used as a lighting device, and an iPhone can be used as a watch and compass! We make sure children don't get lost in social media and games. Usually, they simply don't have time for that!
